Taxel Miles helps Tesla drivers track mileage, classify trips, and generate mileage reports.
Information we collect
We collect the information needed to provide the app:
- Account information, such as your email address, display name, and invite code.
- Tesla connection status and vehicle metadata, such as vehicle name, masked VIN, and vehicle identifiers.
- Trip data, including dates, times, mileage, route points, start and end locations, classifications, business purpose, and notes.
- Report data generated from your trips.
- Basic diagnostics you choose to share with us for support.
Tesla account data
If you connect your Tesla account, Taxel receives Tesla-related data through our backend systems to detect trips and mileage. The iOS app does not store your Tesla password and does not talk directly to Tesla.
How we use this information
- Track Tesla journeys.
- Show trips in the app.
- Let you classify trips as Business or Personal.
- Generate mileage reports.
- Provide support and diagnose issues.
- Improve reliability of the service.
Location data
Taxel processes trip location data to show start and end locations, route information, and mileage reports. Location data may be reverse-geocoded into readable addresses.
Address data attribution
Address data may be provided using OpenStreetMap data.

Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
We may share limited data with service providers that help operate Taxel, such as hosting, database, analytics, diagnostics, or email services. These providers are used only to operate and support the app.
Retention
We keep account, trip, vehicle, and report data while your account is active, unless you ask us to delete it. Some records may be retained where needed for security, backups, legal, tax, or operational reasons.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No system is completely secure, but we aim to limit access to personal and trip data to what is needed to operate the service.
Your choices
You can:
- Disconnect your Tesla account in the app.
- Stop using the app.
- Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your data.
Children
Taxel Miles is not intended for children.
